According to Axios, Senator Cory Booker is reportedly considering leading a delegation to El Salvador to advocate for the release of Abrego Garcia, an accused MS-13 member, back to the U.S. Booker, along with House Democrats Robert Garcia and Maxwell Frost, is planning the trip, which has garnered interest from dozens of House Democrats.

Garcia, a native of El Salvador, was accused of being an MS-13 member. In 2019, an immigration judge halted his deportation, citing concerns that he might face persecution from local gangs in his home country.
