Mets officials on Wednesday were still formulating their starting rotation plans to Rudy Gobert Jersey begin the second half, but had settled on Sean Manaea to pitch Friday night against the Marlins. With Manaea slotted to open the four-game series in Miami, the left-hander will be in position to face the Yankees five days later in the Subway Series finale. Also in play is the po sibility Kodai Senga will be slotted into the rotation for the Mets series against the Braves next weekend. The right-hander has one or two minor league rehab starts remaining before his season debut. Senga threw a bullpen se sion on Wednesday, in preparation for his next rehab start which still hasnt been officially announced. Luis Severino hasnt been ruled out of a Subway Series start, though it is unlikely.
