Breaking News: Harvard Researcher Assaulted by Teens in Movie Theater After Requesting Quiet
Thiago Rentz, a 35-year-old Harvard researcher, was attacked by a group of teens at an AMC theater in Boston after asking them to stop disrupting a movie. The group, described as "clapping and screaming," ignored Rentz’s pleas for respect.
"They were disturbing everyone, clapping and screaming constantly. I asked them to be respectful and leave so we could enjoy the movie," Rentz explained.
As he attempted to exit the theater, the teens blocked his path, forming a human wall. "They started punching me. I didn’t fight back—I was scared. I turned to the wall, protecting my face and head, but they kept aiming for my head," he said.
Rentz is working with the theater to review security footage and ensure action is taken.
